Fucking around and finding out.
I do occasionally program too, mostly in Golang but I know a bit of JS and Python too. You can find my personal projects on Codeberg and my other contributions on GitHub.
Some of my non-techy interests include science, space and law (yes I'm boring) alongside a million other random obsessions. I'm a mediocre pianist who's music taste is one of the most random things out there. You can see what I'm listening to on ListenBrainz.
I love reading, although I don't do it as much as I should. Some of my favourite books are the "His Dark Materials" series, Randall Munroe's books, A Series of Unfortunate Events and the original Hunger Games trilogy. The last book I read (this will be out of date rather often) was "I Robot" by Isaac Asimov.
In typical nerd fashion I also love video games. Some of my favourite games are the Portal series, Minecraft, Satisfactory, The Finals, Team Fortress 2, Celeste, Cities Skylines, Subnautica and really any open world game. My TF2 main is Medic and in the Finals I main flamethrower Heavy (I'm not sorry).
I run a custom Bazzite image on my PC and Laptop which you can see here! On my servers I run a mix of Fedora and Alma Linux, a Red Hat shill through and through. My pick poison is Catppuccin Macchiato Maueve, I can't get enough of it. I use VSCode or micro as my editors of choice and ZSH with ptyxis.
I self host a variety of services on my homelab server including AdGuard Home, Dashy, Davis, ForgeJo, Navidrome, Linkwarden and Immich. Most of it is managed with Tailscale and deployed using docker compose although I'm migrating it to podman over time.
This has gone on a while now, so I'll end it here. Thank you for visiting!
